One 3004-189 serial programming cable is provided with each Applied Motion stepper and servo drive that has an RS-232 port. The 3004-189 is used for setup and programming of a drive, but can also be used in streaming serial command (SCL) applications as a permanent connection between the drive and the host device's RS-232 port.
